Grand Lake Stream, Maine and the Downeast Lakes region are known for more than great fishing – it has great accommodations to offer, from some of the oldest and most famous sporting lodges in the country to a housekeeping cabins, rentals, and inns. There is something for everyone – making this a great vacation getaway for families or sportsmen and women.

DLLT offers water access camping opportunities at the Downeast Lakes Water Trail campsites. We do not maintain any vehicle access campsites, but several are available on the Machias River Corridor and Duck Lake Unit of Maine Public Reserved Lands maintained by the Department of Conservation, Bureau of Parks and Lands.

In Grand Lake Stream, The Pine Tree Store has the food (including sandwiches and pizza) and supplies you need, while full grocery and hardware stores are available in Princeton.

There is great outdoor recreation surrounding the village – without leaving town, you can swim at the town beach, use the ball field, tennis court, or basketball court. Don’t miss historic attractions such as the Grand Lake Stream Historical Society Museum and the Grand Lake Stream Fish Hatchery.
