The Farm Cove Community Forest, Grand Lake Stream, and the Downeast Lakes region are an easy trip away. It’s about a 2 hour drive from Bangor – or 4 hours from Portland.

Bangor and Portland are the nearest commercial U.S. airports, and each has convenient rental cars available (Fredericton and Saint John are nearby in New Brunswick, Canada). Amtrak’s Downeaster train is available to Portland from Boston and points south. Bus service is available to Bangor.
