The Downeast Lakes Community Forest is a 55,578-acre community asset and public resource. Thanks to many supporters of DLLT, its forests, wildlife habitats, watersheds, and lakeshores will help sustain the Downeast Lakes region’s future.

We manage the Downeast Lakes Community Forest for wildlife habitat, public recreation, and a sustainable timber economy. Our advisory committees (Forest Resources and Trails) consider management options for the property and make recommendations to our Board of Directors. Committee members and Directors are intimately connected to the Grand Lake Stream community, which ensures local priorities are addressed in our management.
